FORUM TRUTH is a non-partisan group, but with a progressive orientation. FORUM's concerns about threats to liberty, justice, quality of life and peace and prosperity for all are widely shared.

We are a group of citizens, from a wide variety of backgrounds, who have come together to form a new organization, which we have chosen to call Forum Truth. There is a reason. We believe our country is in peril---that many of the most sacred principles that have guided our country to its preeminent position in the world are threatened.

We are not Republicans or Democrats, left-wingers or right-wingers, we are concerned Americans who believe we have a responsibility to try to do something about it if we think the country is on a wrong track. If not us, who?

We do not pretend to know the answers but we believe we have an obligation as citizens to help search for answers. We have chosen the name Forum Truth consistent with a dictionary definition of the word "forum": An assembly for the discussion of public matter or current questions."

We are a not-for-profit, non-partisan research, discussion and expository organization based in Sarasota, Florida. We plan to sponsor a series of public meetings and discussions featuring the most expert and informed fellow citizens we can find to help us learn.

A major concern that has brought us together is the apparent thirst for war by the current government. It now appears clear that the threat from Iraq was exaggerated and the public deceived into believing that Iraq possessed weapons of mass destruction and was prepared to use them in attacks directly threatening the United States and its citizens.
